Urban Air Mobility

Certified Products for Flight Controls at Reduced Budgets

Increasing urban congestion is a continuous annoyance as well as an impediment to maximum productivity in the modern age. Advancements in automation, electric and hybrid propulsion, as well as interconnectivity are being applied to create a new aerospace category – Urban Air Mobility (UAM).

Successful UAM platforms will be not only practical and scalable but will also be held to an extraordinarily high standard of safety and reliability to put consumer fears to rest.  Archangel’s AHRS and ADAHRS are compact, lightweight, and TSO approved, making them ideally suited to this burgeoning market. Archangel is ready to help your company bring Urban Air Mobility into reality.  Contact us today to discuss what we can do for your unique situation.

Compact, Lightweight AHRS/ADAHRS
With DO-178 DAL A "Mission Critical" Certs

AHR150A

Air Data Attitude Heading Reference System (ADAHRS)
The AHR150A ADAHRS is an excellent choice for high caliber UAM platforms that require a source of airdata. Budgets for size, weight, power and cost are low, DO-160 certification levels are rigorous, software is DO-178 DAL A certified, and TSO approvals are secured. Equally important, the accuracy and latency of acceleration and rate data support autonomous flight controls.

AHR75

Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS)
The AHR75, essentially an AHR150A without its embedded airdata computer, is ideal for platforms that already have an airdata or GPS source. The ’75 is smaller, lighter, and consumes less power than the AHR150A. Otherwise, similarity to the AHR150A includes all certifications, data accuracy, and data latency. The AHR150A-2 MSU can be interfaced to provide magnetic heading.

AHR50

Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS)
The AHR50 is the lightest and most compact off-the-shelf AHRS on the market that has TSO approval and DO-178 DAL A “Mission Critical” software certification. Data accuracy and latency is identical to that of the AHR150A and AHR75, making it perfect for smaller drone-like UAM platforms. The AHR50 is designed to be embedded into a larger housing that meets DO-160 requirements.

AHR150A-2 and -2A Magnetic Sensing Unit

Magnetic Sensing Unit (MSU)
If your application requires magnetic heading, all of the ADAHRS and AHRS mentioned above interface directly to Archangel’s AHR150A-2 and -2A Magnetic Sensing Unit (MSU). Qualification pedigree for the MSU are indentical to those for the AHR150A including DO-160, DO-178, and TSO approvals.
