Automated Flight Controller (AFC)
The AFC bridges the generation gap between modern and legacy avionics, providing you, the aircraft owner, more options for cost control and extending fleet lifetime. Its first iteration, the AFC-001 was initially developed and TSO-approved to interface ARINC-429 Air Data Attitude Heading Reference Systems (ADAHRS) with analog flight control systems. Subsequent AFC variants have been developed to replicate obsolete air data computers, payloads, and mission systems by mixing commercial serial, MIL1553, analog, and discrete protocols. Each of those customers used the AFC strategy to solve deep obsolescence risks and keep operating profitably.
