A ruggedized tactical inclinometer for military vehicles developed for extreme applications like the Army’s Joint Assault Bridge, JASS provides dual axis tilt measurements in a single digital output.
The environmental and performance record of JASS is based on Archangel’s expertise in approved avionics sensor systems for advance military helicopters and supersonic fighters. For instance, JASS measures angles using the same MEMS inertial sensors and digital signal processing as Archangel’s proven and certified aviation products. Additionally, product development and manufacturing processes are per FAA and MIL-STD requirements.
In addition to its stand-alone capabilities, JASS can also function as a centralized sensing head suitable for any vehicle subsystem requiring tilt data.

JASS was designed with our customers in mind. For reliable performance in adverse conditions, the JASS enclosure is IP67-rated against water and dust with EMI gasketing and MIL-grade connectors. To streamline installation, Archangel also performs all JASS calibrations before shipping.
To reduce your engineering costs, Archangel shuns proprietary communications standards, opting instead for well-defined and open bus protocols. As a customer, you will receive details in a complete Interface Control Document (ICD).

JASS has the measurement accuracy, data protocol options, alignment precision, and environmental resistance to serve as the vehicle’s singular tilt-sensing instrument.
Using the JASS Interface Control Document (ICD), third-party suppliers can design their systems to seamlessly access JASS tilt data, eliminating the need to duplicate the tilt-sensing function in each subsystem.
