Our History
Archangel Systems, Inc. (ASI) was founded in 1992 in Auburn, Alabama, with a mission to advance general aviation avionics, specifically new EFIS technologies.
The AF1000 EFIS line was introduces, including an AHRS, and MSU, and the 10.4" diagonal touchscreen PFD, technology a full 20 years ahead of the industry.
In 2004, Archangel began a strategic relationship with Bell Helicopter to develop a MEMS-based ADAHRS adequate for fly-by-wire tiltrotor aircraft. That effort yielded our flagship product, the AHR150A ADAHRS. It is still the foundation of our IP and expertise.
In 2010, the ADAHRS AHR150A received by the FAA its TSO certification, proving the performance and reliability of this critical piece of equipment by Archangel.
The AHR75 was designed as a perfect solution for architectures that already have an Air Data Computer and require Attitude and Heading Data.
A solution for legacy gyros, the AFC bridges the generation gap between modern and legacy avionics, providing the aircraft owner more options for cost control and extending fleet lifetime.
